Version 1.5.4

Doses by Medicine Type

Doses now follow the kind of medicine, quantity is worked out as you write, syrup age bands show in teaspoonfuls, medicines can be edited or removed from the preview, complaint, examination and diagnosis suggestions carry short forms you can type, the online demo loads again, and the patient form takes a title and a blood group.

Prescribing

  • Doses now follow the kind of medicine — puffs, units, respules — and a weekly or monthly medicine prints in words instead of 1+0+0.
  • Quantity is worked out from the dose and the days as you write, including weekly and monthly medicines, and stays blank for syrups, inhalers, creams and as-needed doses.
  • For a syrup, the formulary's children's age bands now show in teaspoonfuls of that bottle's strength, each with the indication it came from, and go in only when you tap one.
  • On the prescription preview the cross for removing a medicine is now visible at rest, and a pencil beside it lets you change the dose, timing, duration and note without leaving the sheet.
  • The written boxes now show the chips only — the same lines are no longer repeated in a text area underneath. Tap a line to bring it back into the box above, fix it, and press Enter.
  • Complaints, examination and diagnosis suggestions now show their short form beside them — SOB, HTN, T2DM, P/A — and typing those letters finds the line. The prescription still prints the full words.

Trying it out

  • The online demo was opening as a blank white page; it loads again, though the reference dose note under a medicine is not shown in the demo.

The patient's details

  • A title (Mr./Mrs./Ms.) can be chosen before the name, and blood group is picked from the eight groups rather than typed. The guardian box now appears only for a child.

When the update period ends the software does not stop: the version you have keeps working for good. The drug register arrives separately, so newly registered medicines keep reaching you either way.
