Serials, Calendar and SMS

Chamber lines now run by serial number or picked times with a purpose on each serial and booking days ahead, a new Calendar tab shows and prints the day's serials and appointments, serial numbers and times can be sent by SMS from the desk, calendar or assistant's phone, and procedure notes gained tap-in findings and aftercare lines alongside a separate header and footer language.

Settings

  • You can now set the header and the footer language separately from the prescription's — a Bangla header prints the name, speciality, BMDC number, hours and phone in Bangla.

The desk and the queue

  • A chamber can run its line by serial number or by picked times, each number carries a rough time, numbers can be taken days ahead, and the desk checks patients in when they arrive.
  • Patients booking online can now take a serial for a day ahead, seeing the number and rough time they will get, or picking from the free times.
  • Each serial can now say why the patient came, report patients can get their own numbers and a reserved hour, and the list prints for one purpose.
  • Serials now carry a purpose — new visit, follow-up, report or emergency — the desk and the calendar filter by it, and the printed list follows the filter.
  • Online booking now asks the reason for the visit, gives patients coming to show reports a report serial of their own, and files each family member sharing one mobile under their own record.
  • Giving a serial from the phone now asks why, which day and which time, and a Days tab shows the fortnight ahead with a list you can print or download.
  • On the phone you can now see the day's list full screen, a card for each person, printing as the same table, and every sheet keeps its title, a large close at the top and its main button at the bottom.
  • Patients online and the assistant's phone can take a real serial number while the chamber's computer is off, and each one goes into the line when it is back on.
  • The patient's serial link shows report serials, tells report patients they are called in between, and still shows the serial when the chamber's computer is off.
  • The online serial page now shows one language at a time, Bangla first with a switch to English, and the serial can be saved as a picture or copied as text.
  • A walk-in now gets the first free serial from the time now, not an empty earlier one that would put them ahead of patients already booked.

Around the app

  • A red band on every screen and on the assistant's phone says when this computer is not on Bangladesh time or its clock has drifted, and how to fix it in Windows.

Text messages

  • From the desk, the calendar or the assistant's phone, send everyone on a day's list their serial number and time or their appointment — in one tap, or one at a time — and the message gateway can now be switched on under Doctor & chambers.
  • Patients now read “Report serial 12” in messages, on the booking page and on their own link, while the desk, board and printed list keep R12.

Procedure notes

  • Writing a procedure note, you can tap the findings and aftercare lines usual for that specialty — one at a time, or a whole set like 'After an extraction' or 'Plaster care'.
  • A procedure note's next visit now takes a time as well as a date, and the note and its invoice print the same letterhead and footer as the prescription, with the footer sitting at the foot of the page.
  • Procedure names in Bangla now use the English name in Bangla letters, with the everyday word in brackets where patients use it — ইয়ার ওয়াক্স রিমুভাল (কানের খৈল পরিষ্কার).

The calendar

  • A new Calendar tab shows each day's serials, appointments and follow-ups, lets you give a serial for a later day, and prints the day's serial list.

When the update period ends the software does not stop: the version you have keeps working for good. The drug register arrives separately, so newly registered medicines keep reaching you either way.
