Medicines by voice fixed, cancelling a prescription, and safer forms for children

Medicines and their instructions by voice work again in English and Bangla; an issued prescription can be cancelled with a reason and a draft deleted; a child given an adult tablet is flagged with the children's form; hospitals get vaccination reminders and tours for every role.

Hospital and diagnostic centre

  • Guided tours for every other role too: manager, admission desk, imaging doctor, pharmacist, canteen, floor supervisor, support staff, accountant, HR officer and ambulance desk. The owner's Setup now starts with "Your hospital in 10 steps", each step ticked only when it is really done, with a "Show me" that goes to the place to do it.
  • Vaccination reminders: the evening before a child's dose is due, the parents get an SMS with the date, the vaccines and where to come, never the child's name. Off until the administrator turns it on. The due list shows whether each reminder has gone, and every reminder is logged. A guided tour of the register for the vaccinator.
  • The patient cards page explains its two parts: opening a record from a card a patient hands over, and giving a patient a card or looking after theirs. The scan buttons line up with their box.
  • Guided tours: moving to the next screen now closes a patient's window left open by the step before, the right thing is ringed (the whole bill, the top of the reports list), and the screen no longer shifts under the top bar.

Prescribing

  • Medicines by voice work again however the speech is written down: commas and full stops, "Tab." or "Syp." before a name, "1 plus 1 plus 1". In English and Bangla, on the prescription pad and in hospital notes, with the route said (IV, IM, SC, শিরায়) choosing the injection. A computer that once fell back to recording is tried again with its own speech the next day.
  • Applying a national guideline's plan no longer prints the guideline's notes for the doctor on the patient's prescription. The medicine notes, the diagnostic criteria and the page references are in the plan's "Check before using" box instead.
  • On the printed prescription, a long line in the left column wraps within it instead of running into the medicines.
  • Instructions said with a medicine — "if fever remains", "if pain remains", "continue", "চলবে", "আগের মতো চলবে", "প্রয়োজনে", "finish the course" — are matched to the pad's own instructions and your own saved ones. "Continue" with no days leaves the days open. A symptom is never swapped for another: a headache stays a headache.
  • When a child is given a tablet or capsule and the same medicine comes in a children's form, the line says so and names it, your own brand first, with one press to use it. A medicine whose leaflet says it is not for the child's age is marked in red. The same check is on hospital ward rounds and discharge notes.
  • A draft prescription can be deleted from the patient's file, as long as it was never issued, printed or sent and has no fee or payment against it.
  • In the preview, the first line of a section, the first medicine included, can be taken off again: the + that adds a line now sits beside the section's heading.
  • Applying a national guideline's plan now writes its diagnosis and tests the way you write them, where your own line says exactly the same thing (Hypertension as your HTN, Electrocardiogram as your ECG). A line that means more or less, such as "Hypertension, grade 1", stays as the plan has it.
  • An issued prescription can be cancelled with a reason. It is never deleted: it stays in the patient's file struck through, cannot be printed or sent, and is left out of repeat last, your usual doses and phrases, follow-ups and the practice figures. The patient's page from its QR or link says the doctor cancelled it.
  • A cancelled prescription no longer counts in visits or patients seen, and the patient's page knows the printed code even if your details changed after printing. In the hospital app a doctor's unsigned notes can be opened again or deleted; hospital SMS carry the hospital's full name; a vaccination reminder missed in the evening goes the next morning.

When the update period ends the software does not stop: the version you have keeps working for good. The drug register arrives separately, so newly registered medicines keep reaching you either way.
