Version 2.15.13
Rosters with rules, overtime and the patient card
Duty rosters now have levels and the administrator’s rules for every shift, more than one duty doctor where a post needs it, and overtime duty kept by HR. The patient card takes its photo from a webcam or any staff phone, with fields the hospital chooses and whom to return it to. A hospital may ask a deposit before an operation, and every staff screen fits a phone.
Hospital
- Stock, Pharmacy and Canteen fit a phone at every text size: the search, filters and tables stay on the screen, wide tables scroll sideways inside their card, and an item's buttons wrap instead of running off.
- Duty rosters have levels and rules: the administrator says what every shift must have, such as at least 1 senior staff nurse and 5 junior nurses, with a different rule for nights or for one ward. Fill the week fills the senior places first, short shifts are marked on screen and on paper, and leave requests warn before a shift falls short.
- The doctors' roster can put more than one duty doctor on a ward's or the emergency's shift: each post says how many each shift needs, Fill the week fills up to it, and every doctor on duty is told of critical results and warning scores.
- Overtime duty, where HR turns it on: any roster, the doctors' too, asks before putting somebody on their day off, a holiday or a second shift, and marks it Overtime. HR sees each one with the hours worked and chooses paid overtime or a day off in lieu.
- Patient cards: the form opens with the photo first, taken with this computer's camera, any staff phone through a QR, or a picture. The hospital may have up to ten fields of its own and choose which are required, and the back says whom to return a found card to.
- Patient cards are issued only by roles given Issue patient cards (the front desk, reception and admission at first). A hospital may ask a deposit before an operation, a share of the package or a fixed amount; the theatre's Sign In waits for it unless a manager allows, and an emergency never waits.
- Every staff screen fits a phone at any text size: tables scroll sideways in their own box, and nothing pushes the screen off its side. The guided tours point at what fits beside their card on a phone.
When the update period ends the software does not stop: the version you have keeps working for good. The drug register arrives separately, so newly registered medicines keep reaching you either way.
