Version 2.18.1

Safer for children, clearer for nebulisers

A child gets the leaflet dose for their age, tablets for a child are flagged on the printed page too, nebulisers are dosed and mixed properly, a name heard wrong offers the right medicine first, and English can use AI dictation.

Prescribing

  • A child's medicine picked from the search now takes the leaflet's dose for the child's age, not the adult dose shown first: a 13-month-old given budesonide by nebuliser gets half a respule, not two.
  • Nebulisers come up right: HFA inhalers filed as solutions are inhalers, a bottle is dosed in ml, the rinse is offered only for steroids, children's ages say what each source says, and two medicines can be mixed in one cup, tapped or said, with the mixing written out.
  • Each medicine on the pad and in the preview now shows who makes it, such as Square or Opsonin, for the doctor only: the printed copy never carries it. The same-molecule window has a heading and a close button, and Escape closes it.
  • A medicine added for a child on the printed page now shows its leaflet's not-for-this-age warning, as on the pad. Dose by weight says In use once applied, a nebuliser said with how often keeps its dose for the child's age, and respule and nebuliser are understood when said.
  • A medicine name heard wrong now offers the nearest-sounding real names first, such as Bisopro for Bisopral, and none is taken until the doctor chooses. The printed page warns about a tablet or capsule for a child with the children's forms, its vitals show weight-for-age, and saying respule picks the nebuliser, not the inhaler.
  • Clearer AI dictation now works for English too, on its own switch beside the microphone, so Bangla and English can each be chosen. A timing said a moment late, such as after food, joins the medicine said just before instead of being searched as a medicine.

When the update period ends the software does not stop: the version you have keeps working for good. The drug register arrives separately, so newly registered medicines keep reaching you either way.
