Your own SMS gateway, paying online, and the staff app grown up

SMS from a Nirnoy Rx package or the hospital’s own gateway; an optional deposit or fee paid online before a visit, through the hospital’s own bKash or SSLCommerz, with automatic refunds; home collection booked online; the pharmacy and food shop with their own tills, a prescription’s QR filling the cart; tasks, the duty roster, stock, equipment and accounts each with their overview; whole-taka totals; and a staff app with a folding menu, searchable lists and charts that fit every screen.

Hospital

  • Each kind of bed has its own icon on the bed board and in setup — ward bed, cabin, cot, ICU, CCU, HDU, NICU, post-op and labour — and a cot and a labour bed are new kinds of bed.

Hospital and diagnostic centre

  • The staff app: the menu folds to its icons and has a search; every dropdown has a search box; every date and time is chosen on a calendar in Bangla or English, weeks from Saturday; each person picks the app’s fonts, SolaimanLipi among them. Fixed: the address showed /staff/staff/.
  • Tasks: start from a usual piece of work — cleaning, linen, carrying patients and samples, repairs, refills — chosen from a dropdown with a search, in Bangla and English; the ones this place uses most come first.
  • Sign-in security: two-step sign-in required by role, and by a code sent to email as well as the app or fingerprint; a role can be held to the hospital’s network; an address with too many wrong tries is blocked and listed for the admin to unblock. My account is in the avatar menu; password boxes have an eye.
  • Duty roster: find a post by chips and a search — wards, cabins, critical care, labour and emergency, each opening to its own wards, or for cabins their category and floor. Cabin categories such as Standard, Deluxe and VIP are named by the hospital and set on each cabin under Wards.
  • Going home: every step still open can be done from the patient’s card by whoever may do it — the summary, the chart, the bill, the requests or a critical result — or handed on as a task to a named person, or asked of the supervisors. The bed board shows each bed’s name whole, and a cabin by its category.
  • Stock: an overview with the stock’s value, items held, low, out of stock, expiring and expired; what needs ordering; thirty days in and out as a chart. Out of stock is now shown and alerted. Stock alerts reach the people chosen, in the app and by email. Items can be taken out of use, with each one’s history. A softer page and coloured chips.
  • Pharmacy and canteen now have their own place in the menu, for the people who work there: today’s sales and the week as a chart, the selling counter with its thermal memo, and the shop’s own stock kept apart from the rest. The canteen’s memo now thanks the customer rather than asking them to check medicines.
  • Tasks: a floor supervisor for chosen floors; routines for a role; cleaners and ward boys mark their own work started, done or stuck by phone; reminders, nudges when late and alerts for missed routines; an overdue board with alerts by hand; a monitor of every round; a list with search and filters, each state in its own colour.
  • Tasks of every kind: housekeeping, carrying, repairs, nursing checks and office work, each filtered by in the list and followed on the monitor. A ward sister or department in-charge can be given her own department’s tasks to give out and check, beside her role.
  • Purchasing: a store can count deliveries before they reach stock. The delivery waits with its count sheet; once counted, the good goods go into stock with a goods received slip and the supplier is owed for those only, short and damaged on record. Returns to a supplier have their own screen.
  • Equipment: an overview of what is in service, broken, under repair, due for upkeep and with contracts or warranties ending, then what needs someone; a job history with search and filters; upkeep plans and contracts can be changed or stopped; alerts for overdue upkeep and contracts ending.
  • Accounts: a dashboard of money in hand and in each bank, the month, six months as a chart, owed both ways, loans and deposits. Any number of bank accounts and wallets, usable for every payment. The chart of accounts can be searched and changed. Loans and deposits have their own menu item, with their particulars editable and alerts for instalments and maturity.
  • A booked operation can be moved to another time or theatre; HR can set what a staff review rates; the administrator can remove a person who has left.
  • Duty roster: fill the week by rule. Each open shift gets a doctor who is not on leave, not on another shift, has had the rest set and is within the week's shifts and nights; the ward's own doctors first and the work shared. Change any box, then accept; nothing is given before.
  • Every list in the staff app has a filter bar: one search in Bangla or English, chips for status, kind, ward or person with their counts, and dates where the list is dated. The owner's fourteen-day chart has an axis and shows each day's figures on hover or tap.
  • Optional online prepayment: a hospital can take a deposit or the fee before an online appointment or home collection, through its own bKash or SSLCommerz. Refunds go back automatically on time cancellations. Patients can now book home collection online.

AI credits

  • Two bigger credit packs for hospitals and diagnostic centres: 10,000 credits for ৳8,000 and 25,000 for ৳18,750. The cost of each AI request is unchanged; the credits cost less in bulk.

Counter and money

  • Invoices, shop memos, VAT and loan instalments are now in whole taka, always rounded up; the exact figure and the rounding are shown before the total. Ambulance trips are billed at the counter. The pharmacy and food shop till has plus and minus buttons, item codes and a full-screen mode.

Pharmacy

  • Scan the QR code on a Nirnoy Rx prescription at the pharmacy till and the cart fills itself: each medicine matched to stock with the quantity for the course, the doctor and their patients today filled in, all changeable before selling. A medicine not available is shown plainly, with a button to alert the store.
  • A new page lists medicines asked for at the pharmacy but not available, with how often and on whose prescriptions. An alert comes when one is asked for too often; reorder levels are suggested from real demand; draft orders are made in one step; each doctor gets a monthly note of what their patients could not get, with what is in stock instead.

Look and feel

  • Every chart now redraws to its own width on phones, tablets and wide screens, with labels that fit. On a phone, the bottom bar shows the three screens each role uses most.

Hospital and counter

  • Write off what a panel will not pay; search and total every invoice, not only the latest; change a patient's consultant with a reason; amend a signed death certificate with the change recorded; close an emergency arrival as left before being seen, or cancel one registered by mistake.

Hospital and lab

  • Take back an unused blood bag, to the shelf or discarded, with the ward told; print the blood issue slip and register; surgeons, anaesthetists, theatre and ward are told when an operation is booked, moved or cancelled, and the day's OT list prints; a rejected sample is flagged to collect again.

Fixes and desk work

  • Editing a doctor's fees now opens right in their card. Cancel a whole invoice with one credit note, and print credit notes; see handovers already received; move an appointment or a home collection to another day; correct a mortuary entry and print its receiving slip; take rooms, counters and stores out of use.

Setup and records

  • Take tests, shifts, sterile sets and linen kinds out of use and back; retire a licence no longer needed; void a doctor's payment recorded in error and print its voucher; correct a panel member's cover; give an ambulance trip to another ambulance and print the trip sheet.

Everyday work

  • Record the follow-up on patient feedback; see and print who is due a vaccine; print the month's attendance or save it as a spreadsheet; print a serial slip at booking; reasons are now asked on the screen, which also works in the desktop app; tap a doctor's sitting days; screens show a soft placeholder while loading.

Lists and messages

  • Long lists now load a page at a time with Show more; list pages show summary tiles at the top; when a home sample collection is moved, the patient can be told by SMS.
  • SMS can go from a package bought from Nirnoy Rx or through the hospital's own gateway: BD Web Services, Alpha SMS, or any other provider set up by hand. Nirnoy Rx can stand behind a failing gateway while a package has SMS left. Test SMS and a log on the same page.
  • BulkSMSBD joins BD Web Services and Alpha SMS as a ready SMS gateway for hospitals and centres. Bed rates on a stay's bill and the AI spending card now show the taka grouped like every other amount.

When the update period ends the software does not stop: the version you have keeps working for good. The drug register arrives separately, so newly registered medicines keep reaching you either way.
