Samples and tube labels

Taking samples by scanning the slip, a barcode label on each tube, received in the lab or turned back with a reason.

In Samples scan the patient’s slip or invoice number.
Press Collect samples — a label prints for each tube.
In the lab, scan the tube in Lab receiving, or turn it back with a reason — a new sample is then needed.

If the lab’s label printer is a print station, the labels print there by themselves — see Printers and print stations. Ultrasound, X-ray and the like are given to a named doctor in Imaging.
