Text messages: a Nirnoy Rx package or your own gateway

Which way each of the centre’s text messages goes — a package bought from Nirnoy Rx, or your own provider’s account.

Appointments, reports, deposits, home collections — every text message the centre sends goes one of two ways. The administrator chooses in Setup, under SMS: which way they go.

A Nirnoy Rx SMS package

Packages are bought at nirnoyrx.com/buy; each part is 75 poisha, VAT included. The same section shows how many are left, and Check again asks afresh. Once a package is used up nothing goes this way until another is bought.

Your own SMS gateway

  1. Choose Our own SMS gateway.
  2. Choose the provider: BD Web Services (API key and client ID), Alpha SMS (API key), BulkSMSBD (API key and its approved sender ID), or Another provider.
  3. Write the sender ID your provider approved, if you have one, then Save.
  4. Send a test SMS to your own number — if it arrives, the gateway works.

For another provider, write its API address (beginning https://), the method (GET, form or JSON) and the fields. Put {to} or {to880} for the number, {message} for the text, {key} for the key and {sender} for the sender ID. You can also say what the answer contains when a message was taken.

With When our gateway fails, send through Nirnoy Rx ticked, a message your own gateway could not send goes from the Nirnoy Rx package instead — only while the package has SMS left. The few messages that carry a Nirnoy Rx link (reports, discharge papers, feedback) always go through Nirnoy Rx, so those need a package.

The gateway’s key is never shown again once written, is not in the audit, and goes nowhere but the gateway. The Latest SMS list keeps only the last four digits of each number.
