Getting started

Bringing your practice in

Your patient list from Excel or a CSV file, and old paper prescriptions from a photograph.

The patient list

  1. Press Import patients above the patient list.
  2. In Excel, select the cells (with the heading row), copy and paste them in — or choose a CSV file.
  3. Which column holds what is guessed from the headings, in English or Bangla. Change any that are wrong, and “Leave out” a column you do not want. The first five rows are shown as they will be saved.
  4. Press Import.
  • A patient already on the register with the same name and mobile is not added again, and is left as they were.
  • A row with no name is not imported, and the result says which row numbers were left out.
  • An old file number, where there is one, is kept in the patient’s notes.

Old paper prescriptions

In a patient’s file press Add an old prescription and photograph an earlier one. The AI reads it into its parts — the date, complaints, diagnosis, tests, advice and each medicine with its dose — and the button shows the likely cost before it reads.

  1. Check everything that was read against the paper; anything it could not read with confidence is listed separately.
  2. Put in the date written on the paper — without one, or with a date still to come, it is not saved.
  3. Press Save to this file.
It goes on the file as a visit on that date, marked “From paper”, so it is never mistaken for one written here. The next follow-up starts from it, which is why checking it before saving matters.
