Admissions, the bed board and discharge

Admitting a patient, moving beds, deposits, getting ready to go home and discharge — the bed freed for cleaning.

1. On the bed board in Wards press Admit on a ready bed; give the patient, the doctor, the reason and the attendant.
2. Each bed on the board shows the patient, the day of stay, the doctor, allergies and any isolation; the name opens the whole stay.
3. From the stay: move beds, take deposits, order tests, medicines and referrals.
4. Set the going-home day and Going home lists the steps — summary, bill, medicines back.
5. On discharge the bed becomes being cleaned; then ready.
