Paying online before a visit

Optional: a deposit or the fee before an appointment or a home collection booked online, through the hospital’s own bKash or SSLCommerz.

Most hospitals take nothing before an online booking, and this stays off until the administrator turns it on. Where wanted, Setup, Paying online before a visit switches on the hospital’s own bKash merchant, SSLCommerz store, or both. The money goes straight to the hospital’s account; Nirnoy Rx takes no part of it.

Write bKash’s app key, app secret, username and password, or SSLCommerz’s store ID and password; press Check the keys. Try it in the sandbox first, then tick Live.
Choose what is asked first: for appointments nothing, a deposit or the whole fee (each doctor may differ in their own settings); for home collection nothing, the collection fee, a deposit or the whole cost.
Set the refund cost (a percentage and/or taka each), how many minutes a booking is held, and what happens when a patient does not come — then Save.

What the patient sees

After booking, “Pay ৳… to confirm” and buttons for bKash or a card. Not paid within the hold, the number or time is let go. Money counts as paid only when the gateway itself, asked from this computer, confirms it.

The patient cancels in time: given back to the same account by itself, less the refund cost.
The hospital cancels: all of it given back.
The patient does not come: as you chose — kept, or given back less the refund cost.
The computer is off: the booking is still taken; the patient is told it must be paid before the visit, and the link to pay goes by SMS — and email, if given — once the computer is on.

In the accounts

What is paid goes into the books as the patient’s advance (into bKash, or “SSLCommerz payments to be settled”), and comes off the invoice by itself when the visit is billed at the counter. Accounts, Online payments shows every payment, every refund, and any the gateway refused — to try again from there or give back by hand.

For refunds on a live store, SSLCommerz asks for this computer’s internet address to be registered with them. Paying online for appointments works only where the centre takes the doctors’ fees at its own counter.
