CSSD and laundry
Instrument sets from the sterilizer to the patient, a failed load recalled; linen counted out and back.

- In CSSD add each set with its tag; back used, cleaned, checked and packed.
- Start a load: the sterilizer, the method, the Bowie-Dick test, and whether a biological indicator went in.
- At the end the readings and the chemical indicator; pass and the sets are sterile, fail and they run again.
- Issue sets to a theatre or ward and an operation. A failed biological indicator recalls the whole load and tells the theatre which set went to which patient.
In Laundry a ward sends linen counted by kind (infected apart); the laundry counts it again, returns it clean, with what was condemned.
