Ward rounds and doctors’ notes
Rounds, the discharge summary and referral — written from a phone, medicines checked before signing, printed on the ward as soon as signed.

- In the stay press Write the ward round — the last round’s medicines are already there.
- Write or say the boxes; add medicines, saline and ward instructions.
- Before signing, allergies and doses are checked; a serious warning needs a reason to sign over it.
- Once signed the note prints on the ward’s print station.
A signed note never changes. The day’s medicines go from that round to the nursing chart and to the pharmacy.
