Setting up the hospital

Wards, rooms and beds, bed rates, and the roles of ward doctors, nurses and the admission desk.

The hospital and clinic edition is built on everything in the diagnostic centre — the counter, the lab, the pharmacy, the accounts. Those are in the diagnostic centre guide; this one starts from the admitted patient.

1. In Setup add ward-kind departments (medicine ward, surgery, ICU, emergency…) and each one’s rooms.
2. In Wards add each room’s beds — bed, cabin or ICU — with the daily rate. A new rate applies from then on; nights already spent keep theirs.
3. In People give roles: ward and emergency doctor, nurse (their own ward), admission desk, theatre staff, blood bank, infection control nurse and more.
