The controlled-drug register
The hospital marks which medicines are controlled; each store’s register, doses with a witness, counts by two.

- The pharmacist or manager ticks, in Controlled drugs → Controlled medicines, each medicine the law requires a register for.
- The ward asks the pharmacy — for one patient, or for the ward’s stock.
- A dose records how much was used, what was thrown away, which doctor ordered it — and a witness types their own username and password.
- Counted by two; a difference tells the keepers at once and stays open until they write what was found.
Each store’s register prints with its running balance, for signing. A wrong entry is never deleted — it is struck through with the reason and a witness.
