What it watches by itself

The morning briefing, a patient getting worse, beds tonight and tomorrow, things not charged, antibiotics and stock running out — from the hospital’s own records, at no cost.

None of these is AI: they are worked out from the hospital’s own records, need no internet and cost nothing. Each tells once, not over and over.

  • The morning briefing: at the top of the Owner’s dashboard — first what needs you (serious alerts, things not charged, stock to order, low deposits, late reports, low ratings), then yesterday’s takings against the same day last week, beds and tests. Sent to phones every morning at the hour the administrator chooses.
  • Getting worse: an early warning score still under 5 but 2 higher than last time, or higher three times running, shows “rising” — the doctors are told once, and the patient moves up the list.
  • Beds tonight and tomorrow: about how many will be free, ward by ward — from the beds free and being cleaned, those whose going-home day is today or tomorrow, and how many arrived on average over the last four weeks. An estimate, not a promise.
  • Things not charged: discharged with no bill, an operation done with no package or charge, a charge of nothing — an alert after six hours.
  • Antibiotics: on the seventh and fourteenth day, after three days by vein, and when a culture is back but nothing has changed — the doctors are told once, to think about; the decision is theirs.
  • Stock running out: a medicine, reagent or item that will run out within five days at the rate of the last four weeks — blood by group and component — before it reaches its reorder level.

How many hours or days before each tells can be changed in the rules on the Alerts page.
