The inpatient bill
Each night at that night’s rate, medicines and tests as given, operation packages, panels and the final settlement.
- Beds are charged each night at the rate in force that night; after a move, the new bed’s rate.
- What the pharmacy issues goes on the bill at its sale price; what comes back is credited.
- Fixed operation packages — the extras on the bill on their own.
- A panel patient’s bill is split between the panel and the patient; deposits and what is due are plain to see.
